Make A Donation

The Frank H. Kenan Chapel at Landfall is rapidly becoming Landfall's own cultural center with its programs of music, lectures, and special events.
The Chapel is an all volunteer operation and relies on people who donate their time to serve on the Board and its committees. Financially, even though fees are charged for some Chapel uses (e.g. weddings), it depends largely on contributions from the community to help offset ongoing expenses.

To volunteer your time and talent on behalf of the Chapel, simply make your interest known to any Board or Committee member. To help financially, you can participate in the following:

Contributions to help defray ongoing expenses (operating, music/special events, and capital improvements) are most welcome at any time. If you wish to have your donation designated for a particular Chapel need or program or in memory of a particular person, please so indicate on your check, cover letter or contribution form.

An endowment fund has recently been established with the goal of growing it to a point where income from the fund will help to offset ongoing expenses. It is anticipated that only income from the fund will be utilized for this purpose and that the principle will stay intact.

There is a benefit concert held each year, when unlike normal events, a donation is requested for attendance. A special request letter is mailed once a year asking for contributions. A donation at the door can be made at any program staged by the Chapel.

All donation checks should be made out to The Frank H. Kenan Chapel and sent to the Kenan Chapel, 510 Arboretum, Wilmington, NC 28405. An acknowledgement will be sent thanking you for your contribution and stating that it is tax deductible.

Endowment Established
To help provide continuing long term support for the Frank H. Kenan Chapel at Landfall, an endowment has been established by the Board of Directors of the Chapel. The fund was started with a generous gift from the Kenan Foundation and there have been a number of additions to the initial gift by individuals. The goal is to grow the endowment to a significant level through additions to principle and without using any of the income. After that level is reached, the Board will use only part of the income and none of the principle to offset ongoing expenses of the Chapel. This will keep funding available in perpetuity to help the Kenan Chapel continue to provide service to Landfall and the surrounding community.
